India to reassess gold import data amid

The import data of India since July 2024 may have to be recast as the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Commerce & Industry look into the sudden spike recorded in imports of gold. The officials of both ministries will hold discussions this week and next to examine the issue in detail.
