ICEGATE (Indian Customs Electronic Gateway) and AD Code (Authorized Dealer Code) Registration are mandatory compliances for businesses involved in import and export activities in India. These registrations enable seamless electronic interaction with Indian Customs and authorized banks, ensuring smooth customs clearance, foreign exchange monitoring and eligibility for export incentives. Without ICEGATE and AD Code registration, exporters cannot file shipping bills or receive export proceeds.

Overview:

ICEGATE is the official online platform of Indian Customs that allows importers and exporters to file customs documents electronically, track shipment status and make duty payments.

AD Code is a 14-digit code issued by an authorized bank branch. It links the exporter’s bank account with Customs to monitor foreign exchange remittances against exports.

ICEGATE registration provides digital access to Customs systems, while AD Code registration authorizes export transactions at specific customs ports. Both are essential for lawful and uninterrupted export operations.
