No. 20/2009-Central Excise

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of
the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is
necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the
notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.
59/2008-Central Excise, dated the 7th December, 2008, published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.841(E), dated the 7
th
December, 2008, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Table,-
(i) S. Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(ii) S. Nos. 9 and 10 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(iii) S. Nos. 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(iv) against S. No. 23, for the entry in column (2), the entry “9001 40 10, 9001 40 90,
9001 50 00” shall be substituted;
(v) S. No. 24 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
