Notification No. 18 /2017-Customs

New Delhi, the 9th May, 2017

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the
Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary
in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the
notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue),
No.12/2012-Customs, dated the 17th March, 2012, published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 185(E), dated the 17th
March, 2012, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table,-

(i) after serial number 59 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number
and entries shall be inserted, namely:-

“59A. 1511 Palm stearin, whether crude,
RBD or other, having free fatty
acid (FFA) 20% or more
7.5% - -
59B. 1511 Palm stearin, whether crude,
RBD or other, having free fatty
acid (FFA) 20% or more for
the manufacture of
oleochemicals.
Nil - 5”;

(ii) serial number 187A and 187 B and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
