Whereas, the designated authority vide notification No.15/9/2003-DGAD, published in Part I, Section I of the Gazette of India
Extraordinary, dated the 29
th
March, 2004, has initiated sunset review in the matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on
Sodium Cyanide, falling under chapter 28 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), originating in or
exported from, the United States of America, Czech Republic, the European Union and Korea RP, imposed vide notification
No. 83/2000-Customs, dated 6
th
June, 2000 and has requested for suitable extension of anti-dumping duty, pending the
results of the review investigations;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9A, read with the second proviso to sub-
section (5) and sub-section (6) of that section of the said Customs Tariff Act and rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification,
Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central
Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance
(Department of Revenue) No.83/2000-Customs, dated the 6
th
June, 2000, namely:-
In the said notification, in Paragraph 3, for the words, figures and letters " the 27
th
December, 1999" the words, figures, letters
and brackets " the 27
th
day of December, 1999 to 25
th
day of June, 2005 (inclusive)." shall be substituted.
