का.आ. 2185(अ).—कें द्रीय सरकार, भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो अजधजनयम, 2016 (2016 का 11) की
धारा 16 द्वारा प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उि अजधजनयम कहा िाएगा), यह
मानते हुए दक भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो के परामिव के बाद लोक जहत में ऐसा करना आर्श्यक या समीचीन है,
जनम्नजलजखत आदेि करती है, अर्ावत्:-
1. संजिप्त नाम, प्रारंभ और लागू होना - (1) इस आदेि को टेरेफर्ेजलक एजसड (गुणर्त्ता जनयंत्रण) आदेि,
2020 कहा िाएगा।
(2) यह आदेि िासकीय रािपत्र में इसके प्रकािन की तारीख से एक सौ अस्ट्सी ददनों की समाजप्त पर
प्रर्ृत्त होगा।
(3) यह नीचे दी गई ताजलका के स्ट्तम्भ (1) में जनर्दवष्ट मालों या र्स्ट्तुओं पर लागू होगा, लेदकन जनयावत
के जलए मालों या र्स्ट्तुओं पर लागू नहीं होगा।

2. मानकों की अनुरूपता और मानक जचह्न का अजनर्ायव उपयोग- ताजलका के स्ट्तम्भ (1) में जनर्दवष्ट माल या
र्स्ट्तुएं, उि ताजलका के स्ट्तम्भ (2) में ददए गए संगत भारतीय मानक के अनुरूप होंगे और उन पर भारतीय
मानक ब्यूरो (अनुरूपता जनधावरण) जर्जनयम, 2018 की अनुसूची-II की स्ट्कीम-I के अनुसार भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो
से एक लाइसेंस के अधीन मानक जचह्न होगा।
3. प्रमाणन और प्रर्तवन प्राजधकारी- ताजलका के स्ट्तम्भ (1) में जनर्दवष्ट मालों या र्स्ट्तुओं के संबंध में भारतीय
मानक ब्यूरो प्रमाणन और प्रर्तवन प्राजधकारी होगा।
4. उल्लंघन के जलए दंड-कोई भी व्यजि िो इस आदेि के उपबंधों का उल्लंघन करता है, उि अजधजनयम के
उपबंधों के अधीन दंडनीय होगा।
5. भारतीय मानकों में संिोधन या पुनरीिण के प्रभार्ी होने की तारीख- यह आदेि भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो
द्वारा ताजलका में जनर्दवष्ट भारतीय मानकों में दकए गए दकसी संिोधन या पुनरीिण पर भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो
द्वारा इस संबंध में अजधसूजचत तारीख से प्रभार्ी होगा।

S.O. 2185(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act,
2016 (11 of 2016) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, being of the opinion that it is
necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest after consultation with the Bureau of Indian Standards,
hereby makes the following order, namely:-
1. Short title, commencement and application – (1) This order may be called the Terephthalic Acid
(Quality Control) Order, 2020.
(2) This order shall come into force on the expiry of one hundred and eighty days from the date of its
publication in the Official Gazette.
(3) It shall apply to goods or articles specified in column (1) of the Table below, but shall not apply to such
goods or articles meant for export.
2. Conformity to standards and compulsory use of Standard Mark - Goods or articles specified in
column (1) of the Table shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard given in column (2) of the said
Table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the
Bureau of India Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

3. Certification and enforcement authority - The Bureau shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in
respect of the goods or articles specified in column (1) of the Table.
4. Penalty for contravention -Any person who contravenes the provisions of this order shall be punishable
under the provisions of the said Act.
5. Date of effect of amendment or revision in Indian Standards - This order shall apply to any
amendment or revision made by the Bureau to the Indian Standards specified in the Table with effect from the
date notified by the Bureau in this behalf.
