Notification No. 70/2004 - Customs (N.T.)
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of
Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the
Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 61/94-Customs (N.T.), dated the 21
st
November, 1994, namely:-
In the said notification,-
(A) in paragraph (2), for the words "Agra and Bagdogra", the words "Agra, Bagdogra , Triuchirapalli and Varanasi" shall
be substituted;
(B) in the Table,-
(I) against serial number 15 relating to State of Tamil Nadu, against item (c) occurring in column (3) relating to Tiruchirapalli, in
column (4), -
(i) in item number (a), after sub-item number (ii) and the entries relating thereto, the following sub-item number and entries
shall be inserted, namely :-
"(iii) baggage brought in tourist chartered flights.";
(ii) for item number (b) and the entries relating thereto, the following item number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-
"(b) Loading of -
(i) goods of Indian origin except diamonds, precious stones and semi-precious stones;
(ii) baggage in tourist chartered flights.";
(II) against serial number 16 relating to State of Uttar Pradesh, against item (d) occurring in column (3) relating to Varanasi ,
in column (4), in item number (a), after sub item number (2) and the entries relating thereto, the following sub-item number and
entries shall be inserted, namely:-
"(3) Unloading of baggage brought in tourist chartered flights.".
