These grades are not being specified in Indian Standard terms but as per the International description as most of these
grades do not have equivalent grades in the Indian Standards.
List of Imported Grades of high volume/held to be outside the purview of the Steel
Quality Control Order (13th August, 2018) by the Technical Committee/Ministry of Steel,
Government of India

THIS DATA IS BEING SHARED IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN TO ENCOURAGE IMPORT SUBSTITUTION
As determined by the Technical Committee of Ministry of Steel ,the above grades were imported with high volume and
were held to be outside the purview of the Steel Quality Control Order (13th August, 2018). Decision was based on the
mill test certificate produced by the applicants for the perusal of the Technical Committee of Ministry of Steel.
The decision of the Technical Committee is binding only for the specific consignment (based on the mill test certificate)
produced before the Technical Committee
The quantities imported without seeking due clarification from the Ministry of Steel, such quantities would not be
reflected in the aforementioned figures - (e.g. Import from the BIS licensed manufacturers are not reflected in the figures
mentioned above etc.)
