Notification
No. 2/2016-Customs

New Delhi, the 6th January, 2016

G.S. R. (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of
the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in
the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 12/2012-Customs,
dated the 17
th
March, 2012, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-
section (i) vide number G.S.R.185 (E), dated the 17
th
March, 2012, namely:-

In the said notification,-
(a) in the Table, after serial number 359 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial
number and the entries shall be inserted, namely :-

“359A 84 or any
other Chapter
Goods specified in List 13 required in
connection with petroleum operations
undertaken under specified contracts
under the Marginal Field Policy
(MFP).
Nil Nil 44”;

(b) in the ANNEXURE, in the column under the heading “Conditions”, in Condition No. 44,-
(i) in clause (a), after the words “Coal Bed Methane Policy”, the words, figures and letters “, or
on or after the 14
th
day of October, 2015 in terms of the Marginal Field Policy” shall be
inserted;
(ii) in clause (b), in sub-clause (i), after the words “Coal Bed Methane Policy”, the words “or the
Marginal Field Policy” shall be inserted;
(iii) in clause (c), in sub-clause (i), after the words “Coal Bed Methane Policy”, the words “or the
Marginal Field Policy” shall be inserted.
