Each product shall be marked with the Standard Mark, as specified in Annexure-II of

Regulations, 2018
2. What should be the design of the Standard Mark?
The design of Standard Mark shall be identical to the facsimile given in the licence
document issued by BIS Branch Office at the time of grant of licence.
3. Is decrease or increase in size of Standard Mark permitted?
The photographic enlargement or reduction of the Standard Mark in relative proportions

Regulations, 2018, is permitted.
4. What should be the manner of marking the Standard mark?
The Standard Mark shall carry the licence number and reference to the Indian Standard
in a visible manner and shall be as specified in the licence document. IS Number

6. What should be the location of marking or can the marking be done on inside?
BIS Standard Mark shall be marked in accordance with the respective Indian Standard.
