Notification No. 112/2003 - Customs (N.T)
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and
Customs hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Import Manifest (Vessels) Regulations, 1971, namely: -
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Import Manifest (Vessels)(Amendment) Regulations, 2003.
(2) These regulations shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Import Manifest (Vessels) Regulations, 1971,- (a) regulation 3 shall be numbered as sub-regulation (1)
thereof; and after sub-regulation (1) as so numbered, the following shall be inserted, namely :-
"(2) Any person who delivers the import manifest to proper officer under section 30 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of
1962), shall apply for registration with the Customs in Form VI.";
(b). for regulation 6 , following regulation shall be substituted , namely:-
" 6. Delivery of vessel"s stores list and list of private property. - The vessel"s stores list and the list of private property in the
possession of the Master, officer and crew at the time of departure from the last port of call may be delivered along with the
cargo declaration.";
(c ) after Form V the following Form shall be inserted, namely:-
"FORM VI

APPLICATION FORM FOR REGISTRATION
1.
Name of applicant with detail Permanent Account Number (PAN):-
(In case the applicant is a firm or a company, the name of each of the
partners of the firm or the directors of the company as the case may
be)
2.
Full address of the applicant:-
(In case the applicant is a firm or a company, the full address of each
of the partners of the firm or the directors of the company as the case
may be)
3.
The name (s) and address of the authorized persons:-
(In case the applicant is a firm or a company, the name (s) of its
partner or partners or director or directors or duly authorized
employees who will actually be engaged in the work of filing import
manifest).
4.
Educational qualification of each of the persons who will actually be
engaged in the filing of import manifest:-
5. The enclosures:-
(a)
Copy of contract,
or
(b)
Memorandum of
understanding, or
(c)
Agreement entered
into with the foreign
authorizing agent.
