description The purpose of an automatic data processing machine is to gather, handle, and store data on its own. This group includes devices for reading data in magnetic or optical formats, data processing tools, and devices for converting data into coded formats. These automated data processing devices may be assembled into multi-component integrated systems. They reduce errors by using automated data processing, which enables automatic information acquisition and quick and effective management of massive amounts of data. Without the need for human assistance, ADPM machines are made to do a variety of data-related operations such as data entry, storage, retrieval, calculation, and analysis. They are available in many different sizes, ranging from compact personal computers to massive mainframes and supercomputers. The way information is handled, saved, and passed on in the modern world has been revolutionized by ADPMs. Their significance goes beyond the job to include fields including education, healthcare, research, entertainment, and security. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) mandated that automatic data processing machines must undergo registration as per IS 13252 (Part 1):2010 under the Compulsory Registration Scheme, as declared in the Gazette of India on July 3, 2013. Manufacturers are not permitted to trade or sell Automatic Data Processing Machines in the Indian consumer market unless they have a valid BIS Certification. It is against the law to sell such computers in India without a BIS CRS registration.
