As per Section 23 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009, no person is permitted to deal in weights or measures without holding a valid dealer licence issued by the Controller of Legal Metrology of the respective State Government.The purpose of the dealer's licence is to ensure that only approved, verified and duly stamped weights and measures are sold in the market, thereby maintaining accuracy, transparency and consumer protection in trade and commerce.

  • Form LD-1 (Dealers) or Form LR-1 (Repairers). 

  • DSC of the authorized signatory.
